Sure!
You can configure CafeAgent so that it automatically locks keyboard and
mouse input until the computer is activated from CafeStation or
customer logs in. Workstations can also be unlocked only by operators
with proper access rights by entering limited administration mode,
which makes it possible to install new software, clean up disks or run
antivirus software. [see: screenshots]
- Is it possible to interface with external card readers/sources?
Yes, with card reader module the software supports RS-232 magnetic card readers (check www.magtek.com) and RS-232 memory card readers (check www.txsystems.com). Card readers can be connected either to the main computer or to client workstations. - Does CafeSuite control printing as well?
Yes,
we included print control module that allows centralized monitoring and
auditing of all printing activity on the Windows NT/2000/XP print
servers. It automatically detects and charges for printouts from client
workstations with any operating system.
- Does this software stop the customer from being able to change any settings on the computer?
Yes, this is a functionality of integrated system protection module. - I have members who have a domain login, will these members have to log in twice?
No,
provided that you enable 'Automatically log on with system usename'
option on 'Logon system' page in CafeAgent configuration.

No - there are many specialized programs for this. We rather don't plan to add such functionality to CafeSuite soon.
- How many charging time ranges can it handle?
There is no limit.
- What's the maximum number of clients this application can control?
There is no built-in limit. However the more clients the better hardware you may need.
- Can the Login screen be altered (skinned) to reflect our branding?
You
can customize the background of the login screen to display picture
with your company logo or even a web page. It can be set on 'Lock look'
page in CafeAgent configuration.
- How many accounts can the software handle?
Again, there is no limit.
